Some friends of mine (1 minor, 3 adults) went to a guy's house we all know and threw packets of sauce (unopened) on his yard and front door step, drive way, etc. it was a harmless, non-malicious prank and it was about 200 packets total, 1 of them opened on the driveway but none else. also, they flung some over his back yard fence, but didnt go in the back yard. none of them got any more then 10 feet away from the sidewalk/street. now he is threatening legal action because he has a strong suspicion who did it, and he is claiming vandalism, tresspassing, harassment and littering. there was no damage to speak of, at most, less then 10 dollars worth. the whole thing would take maybe half an hour to clean up, if that, and there was no permanent property damage committed. how likely is it that any of these four people (1 person was the driver, three threw the packets) will be convicted of anything, or even brought to trial? this seems rather ridiculous that this would even be illegal, but what are the possibilities?

My husband and I separated a few months ago when he moved to Louisiana at that time. He has filed for divorce in the state of Louisiana saying that he has been there since March 2006. I am trying to file and keep this case in California because that is where I and our children are located at. What can I do by California Law?

What if any are the rights of a driver to refuse a search of their vehicle. I drive an import, like the kind made popular in recent street racing motion pictures, and have been pulled over three times for a modified exhaust (that is in reality completly stock) and asked to open the hood of my car so that the officer could search for illegal modifications. Other members of my car club have been pulled over for similar reasons and we have all been asked to open the hoods of our cars. I am of the opinion that this is profiling, based on the group my vehicle is associated with, and is a violation of my civil rights
